Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 19, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how California Auto Supply (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit californiaautosupply.com, shop with us or contact us, and the choices and rights you have – including under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, “CCPA”).
Information we collect
- Information you give us: name, email, phone, billing and shipping address when you create an account or place an order; your vehicle details and messages when you contact us; your name and email if you sign up for emails; reviews and questions you post.
- Order and payment information: what you bought, when and how it was fulfilled. Card payments are handled by our payment processor – we do not store full card numbers on the Site.
- Information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and similar technical data, through server logs and cookies. Cookies also remember your cart, your selected store and ZIP code, and keep you signed in.
How we use it
To process and deliver orders and pickups, provide customer service and returns, run your account, answer your questions, send emails you signed up for (you can unsubscribe at any time), keep the Site secure and prevent fraud, improve the Site, and meet legal and tax obligations.
How we share it
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the store – for example web hosting and security, payment processing, shipping carriers and email delivery – who may use it only to provide their services to us; with authorities when the law requires it; and with a buyer if our business is sold. Map features on our Store Locator load map tiles from OpenStreetMap, and “Directions” opens Google Maps, which receive your IP address under their own privacy policies.
Your privacy choices – we do not sell or share your personal information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined by the CCPA. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If this ever changes, we will update this policy and provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” option before doing so. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as an opt-out request.
California residents – notice at collection
In the last 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (name, email, phone, address, IP address); customer records and commercial information (orders and returns); internet activity (pages viewed on the Site); geolocation at the ZIP code or store level you choose; and the content of messages you send us. We collect them from you and your device, for the purposes described above, and keep them for as long as needed for those purposes – order records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted by the CCPA.
Your rights and how to make a request
If you are a California resident you may ask us to: tell you what personal information we have collected about you and how we use and disclose it; give you a copy of it; correct it; and delete it (subject to legal exceptions, such as records we must keep). We will not discriminate against you for using these rights. To make a request, use our contact form (topic “Privacy request”) or call (909) 623-3151. We will verify your identity by matching information you give us with our records, and reply within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent, who must show us your signed permission.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page with a new “last updated” date.
