Return & Core Policy

We want you to have the right part. If something is not right, here is how returns, exchanges and core charges work at California Auto Supply.

Returns

• New, unused, uninstalled items in their original, undamaged packaging may be returned within 30 days of purchase with your receipt or order number for a refund to the original payment method, or an exchange.
• Items bought online can be returned to our Pomona store or by mail – contact us first so we can give you return instructions. Return shipping is paid by the customer unless we sent the wrong or a defective item.
• Refunds are issued once we have received and inspected the item. Original shipping charges are not refundable unless the return is due to our error.

Items that cannot be returned

• Electrical and electronic parts (such as sensors, modules and ignition parts) that have been installed or had their seal opened – unless defective, see our Warranty Policy.
• Opened fluids, chemicals and paints; items that have been installed, used, modified or damaged.
• Special-order parts, unless they arrive damaged or incorrect. Special orders that are cancelled or returned unused may be subject to a restocking fee, which we will tell you about when you place the order.
• Gift cards.

Core charges

Some parts – for example batteries, alternators, starters, brake calipers and some pumps – include a refundable core charge. The core charge is shown separately at purchase. Bring back your old part (the “core”) in the box the new part came in, drained of fluids and not broken or disassembled, with your receipt, and we will refund the core charge. Lead-acid batteries: California law requires us to accept a used battery for recycling when you buy a new one.

Wrong or damaged items

If you received the wrong item or it arrived damaged, contact us within 7 days of delivery at (909) 623-3151 and we will make it right.

Warranty claims

Defective parts are handled under our Warranty Policy.
